Design things by clicking on them.

abcad is a new kind of CAD. No training course, no command reference: click any part to edit it, flip the switch to see it work, and the report and parts list write themselves. Try it on the LED board here, then draw buildings, machines, control panels, plants and sites the same way.

  1. 1. Click the switch on the board. The LED lights and the current shows.
  2. 2. Click the resistor, the LED or the microcontroller to change its values, or drag any part somewhere else. Everything updates.
  3. 3. Toggle Report or Bill of materials. They are already written.

Then watch things get built: a chair cut from two-by-fours and nailed together, and a building's services going in from the street, from raw materials through the machines that make the parts. Or see all of it built as one system, each piece with its own editor.

Switch off

Drag any part to move it, click it to edit its values. R turns it, F flips it, Delete removes it, arrows nudge it. Drag empty space to orbit, scroll or pinch to zoom. Click the switch to turn the LED on.

Everything here is live: edits change the simulation, the report and the bill of materials at once. Checks are early-sizing aids, not certifications.Open in the board editor

Every discipline, the same way

Boards, schematics and control panels

Lay out a circuit board by dragging parts on, route it, simulate it and order it. Draw ladder diagrams with switches, relays and lights, and let tags, wire numbers and cross-references keep themselves right. Panels, terminal strips and PLC I/O come from the same project.

Live simulation, bills of materials, wire lists, fabrication files

One click to any tool

One chip per discipline across the top. Its tools are a flat row of plain-named buttons. No menus inside menus.

Click anything to edit it

Select an object and every property is a live field beside it. Type a number and it applies. Drag a grip to reshape.

Reports that write themselves

Bills of materials, schedules, wire lists and checks are live views of the design, ready to place on a sheet or download.

The checks are early-sizing aids. They are not certifications or stamped calculations.
